Lawyer work

I've been given some "real lawyer work."  It basically just consists of researching property information, like I've done before, but it has potential to blow up big-time, so my boss can call it "lawyer work."

The reason this has potential to blow up is, by far, the most interesting part of the project.  The lawyer representing the other interested party happens to be a relative of  a certain Chicago politician, and our client's interactions with him have been nothing short of awesome.

He effectively informed our client that all of the political roadblocks stopping his client from doing what they want have already been "taken care of" and he was only corresponding with our client as a courtesy.  Needless to say, our client was not pleased.

Right now, my job is to check and see if he was serious.  So far, it looks like our client is fucked.
