For those of you who don't know, the CTA has several proposed rate hikes to take effect in 2010. $110 for an unlimited monthly pass? Are you kidding? I currently pay $86, which is way too much for the service, or lack thereof, provided by the CTA.
I feel like I should share my thoughts about the L, and how you're just as likely to be puked on by a drunk college student, urinated on by a bum, involved in a police chase, or maced, as you are to actually arrive at your destination on time. So, while I have touched on the subject before, consider this the official beginning of my CTA stories.
