My job requires that I deliver a lot of courtesy copies to judges (you're jealous, I know). I'm going to assume this clerk was just having an off day, but this was a new conversation for me:
Me: Can you sign for these docs?
Clerk: Who's name should I put?
Me: Well, who do you want to be today?
Clerk: What?
Me: Your own name would be great.
Clerk: Okay.
