I'm pretty bored most of the time, so I always read through Attorney 6's email correspondence when they're included in the file. The poor guy can't figure out how to use an apostrophe and it drives me fucking crazy. For example, I have this in front of me right now:
"[In my previous email], I asked you if there was any tenants currently living in the unit...Please let me know if there are any tenant's in the unit."If you do it once, fine...I get that your finger can slip. But, this is in every single email!
I kind of want to point this out to him so that he stops looking like such a retard, but I figure that would seal my place as the biggest dick in our firm. Besides, given his interesting take on verb agreement, proper use of the apostrophe is probably the least of his problems.
Yeah, I was stuck on "if there was any tenants" and couldn't read any further.
ReplyDeleteHeh. Nice. I think you're right not to tell him. In almost any other industry I would say if you're nice about it and make it sound like it's for their own good to tell them, you'd be fine. Lawyers have way too big of egos, however, and will think you're a dick.
