Another New Low

I'm recovering from pneumonia, I'm unemployed and I've worked myself into such a panic attack that I can't fall asleep. So, I'm drinking a glass of bourbon and watching reruns of He-Man on some channel I didn't even know I had.

Things are going pretty well for me right now.

  1. What else can happen? Everyone is in the same boat who can't or won't emmigrate to Austrailian countryside. When it blows its going to be a doozy, but in the mean time pour another, sit back and watch the fireworks.

  2. I agree with Anonymous @8:59 AM. I've done my first, um, let's say, "dodge" on my student loans. I'm sort of paying. I was working at a restaurant for minimum wage - about $240/week - for a while and living at home. I've now fled the plutocracy. I'm currently scraping by somehow, only really paying Citibank because I haven't found a way to fuck them over yet. I've lost any morality I might once have had about honoring my "obligations", and I'm seriously considering relinquishing my American citizenship someday. I'm convinced that the Clinton/Bush Great Recession is generational, that its main cause was outright fraud, that we've forgotten that the courts are packed with a backlog of mortgage defaults still, that student loan debt will hit $1 trillion before it implodes, and that we'll see a reprise of 2007-2010. I'm a vindictive son of a bitch. I dispute the legitimacy of my student loans, taxpayers be damned. "Someone will have to pay for it." No one should have to pay for it. American is a fraud, a joke and a liar without a clue. From the pre-occupation, I assume most Americans have Congressman Weiner's cock as their desktop wallpaper.
