Best job application ever
- I just applied for some marketing job and the online application included two of the greatest questions I have ever seen. Before you read them, keep in mind that I am not making this up.
1) From the perspective of the turtle, write a 1st person description of a turtle’s greatest accomplishment (150 – 300 words).
2) Take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing a letter or two, and supply a new definition. Example: Caterpallor (n.), from "caterpillar": The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.
- Based solely on these two questions, I really hope I get this job. I have no idea what the job would entail, but I feel like I would fit in well. Actually, I don't even know if I would fit in. I just think it would be an entertaining place to work.
What were your answers?
ReplyDeleteIt was a little hard to take the questions too seriously so, with that in mind, this is a summary of my answers:
ReplyDelete1) Coming out of my shell and/or beating the hare in a race. (Sometimes, I'm just too clever for my own good)
2) Brettulus (n.), from "Calculus": Calculus as done by a guy named Brett.
Brett, if you're reading this, I 100% give you credit for that second answer.
im actually applying to the same internship and answering the same set of interesting questions
ReplyDeleteIt is May 12, 2012, and I am also applying to a job with the same questions... interesting.
