Conservatory

You know where you should go?  The Lincoln Park Conservatory.

A lot of the time, I'll pretend to like places because I feel like I should.  The Field Museum, for instance, is a really interesting and informative place.  But, honestly, it hasn't changed since I first visited it twenty years ago and now I'm bored as shit after about ten minutes of wandering around staring at old stuff.  It's one of those places where if you've seen it once, you never need, or want, to see it again.

The Lincoln Park Conservatory, on the other hand, was ridiculously cool and I actually want to go back.  It was hot, it was humid and it was swarming with annoying college students taking a class on plants, but I had a great time.  Admittedly, I'm a huge fan of nature, but I'd recommend this place for anyone.

Honestly, where else can you see this thing without going to a rainforest?
Also, I don't normally get excited about roses, but just look at this rose!  Did it know I was coming?
If I lived in the area, I would totally be that weird guy who visits the Conservatory every day just for fun.  It brightened up my day and, since the job search depression is starting to set in, I definitely needed some cheering up.
