Summer reading

Since I have some a lot of free time on my hands, I've decided to start reading more.  I've always been a big fan of books, but I've always been most interested in some pretty obscure stuff.  As a kid, I read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy books; during college, I read a lot of philosophy; and, during law school, I stopped reading all together.  More recently, I've been reading books on language and cognition, along with some of the more obscure classics - like the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Paradise Lost, etc.

In the spirit of broadening my horizons, I've decided to start reading some of the actual literary classics along with other award winning books.  I've always been bored out of my mind while reading things like The Great Gatsby or Anna Karenina, but I figure this is probably as good a time as any to brush up on the books I should have been reading in high school while I was actually out drinking in a park.

I just picked up The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner and A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.  It should be a wild and exciting week.

On an unrelated note, someone emailed me and asked that I plug their blog post on books that every paralegal should own.  Don't say I never did anything for anyone.
